What Are You Thinking?

THOUGHTS ARE MAGNETS.

 

Did you know that your thoughts are like magnets within the universe? They pull experiences and circumstances to us. Well, more accurately, our thoughts when given much focus, become FEELINGS which become beliefs, which become actions. This is why it`s so important to remember: That which we focus on grows bigger. This can be very challenging when we are in the midst of less than favorable experiences or even more challenging, when the circumstances we find ourselves in, are very serious. How do we get through what we are going through- manage it and deal with it? But not let it “take us down?” I`ve studied much on the Law Of Attraction and have learned many different tools to bring about the changes and manifestations of one`s heart`s desires. Some of which include: Vision Boards, “scripting”, writing, rituals, meditation and going into the silence ( the most important one, in my humble opinion) Whether or not you are religious, spiritual, agnostic, atheist…. It all comes down to what YOU believe. What you think, turns into what you FEEL, which causes a certain vibration in your body, which attracts a “like vibration” to you… That`s why the more focus you give something and the more you start to really FEEL the energy you are pouring into it -the greater the likelihood you are going to attract that thing, person, circumstance into your life. Have you ever been thinking about an old friend for a couple days and then “out of the blue” that old friend calls you? Do you think that`s a coincidence? That’s the universe saying “I`m reading your email, I`m picking up, what you`re putting down, I hear you, loud and clear”. Am I saying this is like a magic wand? No of course not or that whatever we simply think, happens? NO, Thank goodness!! But I am saying that we are far more powerful than most of us know. That the power we have been given to make choices in each moment of the day, is very potent. That what we choose to think, feel and focus on, actually directs us and those matching experiences to us.

 

So what do we do with this information? I believe we need to “pay attention to what we are paying attention to”. I will tell you that when I am having a bad moment, I stay mindful to not letting it turn into a bad DAY. You know when you wake up late because your alarm didn’t go off? So you leap out of bed, stubbing your toe and now you are cursing like a sailor, spill your coffee all over your new white blouse , get reprimanded by your boss for being late, step in dog crap on the way to get the mail on YOUR lawn ( and you don’t own a dog!) etc., etc., ETC.! Because that energy has a very powerful “snowball effect”… All energy does! That’s right, even the good stuff. ESPECIALLY THE GOOD STUFF. That’s why the whole concept of #payitforward it so wonderful and potent. The universe (God, Spirit, and Science/energy) will support us, no matter what! Think of the universe as a big mirror. Whatever you put in front of it, it will reflect back to you. Hold up your middle finger to it and what do you think you will receive back? What if you smile and GIVE it love? What will you get back? This is a great motivator when you are in a bad mood, by the way! Knowing that THIS moment is actually helping to create the rest of my afternoon is a big motivator for me to keep calm and “go with the flow”. So, ok! I`m having a bad moment but I don’t want to have a bad day. I will allow myself the recognition of the situation and work on the resolution as soon as I am emotionally able to. If my bills are piling up and they are HUGE and I have a small amount to deal with a BIG debt? I can say THANK YOU for what I do have, I can focus on a resolution and not the lack… not focus on the lack! I know for me, that I am always supported by the universe.

      Thank you for sharing that with me, Elena. I am very glad it helped a bit. Its very hard when we are having issues with those we love- we cannot change them or their minds and sometimes we want to! lol but that is when we need to take a step back and ask ourselves what we are focusing on- We are responsible for ourselves. Are we responding or reacting? Sometimes by simply shifting our focus of the situation from a place of blame to a place of remembering that we are all part of this universe, doing the best we can. We can make some space for forgiveness for others and ourselves. Hugs, Erika

    I can relate with you on all this, Erika! And it is amazing how much of it I am going through at this time! Although not all sailors swear all the time…haha!!! I love what you expressed here and believe it is absolutely true that “you are what you think”. It is so important to stay positive even through the most difficult times in your life. And sometimes we do end up with more bills than money. When you lose something, maybe you didn’t need that after all. And it can be replaced with something better. I learned from the sea how little you need and not how much. I’m always downsizing because some day I will not want or need what I have now. I really love what you said here and am thankful you shared your thoughts with all of us. God bless…

      Yes. This is not always easy and I know for myself, must be practiced on the daily but it sure does change your Life in a huge and wonderful way.
